Alfie is a 4 year old entire collie cross. He originally came into our care after his owner was admitted into hospital. He then spent the last year in another home but they felt their environment was too busy for him due to having various visitors which Alfie found difficult and would often bark and lunge until he got to know them.
Alfie is a very shy boy but if given time soon warms up to people. He requires a quiet adult home and an owner that is willing to give him the space and time he requires to gain confidence. Everything needs to be done gradually with Alfie so he doesn't feel threatened or get put into situations he find difficult.
Alfie is housetrained, is good when left alone for a few hours, travels well, knows some basic commands and is ok around other dogs.

Jet is a 19 month old neutered collie. She was in a home for 7 months but has been returned as she unexpectedly rushed at the owner's 3yr old grandchild, knocking her over and causing a puncture wound to her arm.
Jet is a shy girl and will require an owner that understands her fears and won't put her in situations she may struggle with. She is very unsure around strangers and gets worried by visitors to the home so requires a quiet environment without children.
Jet is housetrained, responds well to commands and travels well. She is only used to being left alone for odd hours so this will need to be built up gradually. She tends to mostly ignore other dogs out on a walk but if she feels threatened she does sometimes bark.
Following x-rays Jet was recently diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia.

Hello, I’m Bobby! I’m a 5 year old tri coloured Border Collie. I came into care because my previous owner couldn’t give me enough time due to work. I had a 7-week stay with another family, but it didn’t quite work out as I got a bit defensive with the lady of the house when she tried to correct me but when dad was around I felt much happier around her.
I’m a friendly guy when meeting people, I am housetrained, happy to be left alone for a few hours, and I travel well. I can be a little unsure around other dogs at first and often bark but once introduced correctly I can be ok but I may not live with others. I do have a bit of a chase instinct when it comes to cats.
I’m looking for a patient and understanding family who can help me feel confident and loved.

Max is a 5yr old medium coated entire border collie. He came into our care from another rescue following the breakdown of his owners marriage. He did spend 24hrs in another home but was returned as he bit the man on the arm when he was handling him.
Max is worried being handled and will need time to learn to trust people. Handling will need to be built up gradually overtime. He requires a home without young children and an owner that is willing to be patient with him.
He mixes well with other dogs, is housetrained, travels well and enjoys playing with toys.

Charlie is a 2 year old neutered Collie Cross. Before coming to us he spent his life living on a small holding in a secluded setting amongst several other dogs.
Charlie has no real life experience of the world outside of where he lived and had never been on a lead. It took us several weeks to gain his trust enabling us to then gently handle him, since then he has made good progress and now happily greets and interacts well with staff. He will happily go out for walk and spends time playing with dogs that he has built a relationship with.
He requires a quiet home environment and an owner that understands his needs and is willing to give him all the time and patience he requires.

Hello, I’m Bayley!
I’m a 5 year old neutered Collie Cross, and I’ve had quite the journey. I originally came to the rescue because my humans weren't feeling well enough to look after me. I've spent a very short time in two further homes, but I got worried around new people and did growl and snap.
I can be a bit unsure when meeting strangers, so I’ll need someone patient who can let me come to them in my own time but once I'm confident you're not a threat i will be your best friend. I do best in a calm home without lots of visitors or young children, where I can feel safe and relaxed.
The good news? I’m housetrained, I know some basic commands, I love playing with toys, I travel well, and I sleep peacefully through the night. I tend to avoid other dogs, though I might react if they react to me first, and I’m a little nervous around traffic and loud noises — so slow and steady wins the day with me!
If you’re willing to give me time, patience, and lots of gentle reassurance, I’d love to show you what a loyal and loving companion I can be. I might need you to visit me more than once so I can really get to know you before you take me home.

Hi there! I’m Willow. I was 4 on Christmas Eve. I first came into care because my previous owner couldn’t give me enough time with work and a little one at home. I have had a few short stays in a couple of other homes but they didn't work out and unfortunately in the last one the man took a bag out of my mouth that had treats in it and because I got frustrated I snapped at him, but maybe a little too hard as my tooth punctured his skin.
I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give me a moment and I soon warm up. I’m housetrained, happy to be left alone, and I travel well. I love playing ball and get along with other dogs. When I’m out walking, I can get a bit excited around traffic, but I’m learning!
I’m looking for a patient, loving home where I can feel safe and enjoy lots of fuss, fun and games.
I do chase the centre cats so may not live with.

He is housetrained, is good when left alone for a few hours, responds to basic commands and travels well.
Ernie is shy meeting strangers and does sometimes bark so will need a little space and time. He also gets worried by visitors to the home so would be better suited to a quiet environment without young children.
He is shy around other dogs and does chase traffic.

Rosie is a 1yr old neutered lab x collie she came into our care from another rescue. Her owners could no longer care for her due to their own health issues.
We think she has missed out on being socialised as every experience seems new and over whelming to her.
She is a little shy when first meeting new people but if given a little time and space quickly over comes her fear. She would benefit from a calm household without young children or lots of visitors.
Rosie also lacks confidence around other dogs and her initial reaction is to bark, lunge and nip but if socialised/introduced correctly she can be off lead with others.
She is quiet and clean in kennels and travelled well on a 2/3hr journey to us.

Cleo is a 4yr old neutered collie. She came into our care from another rescue after she was removed from a caravan where there were a number of dogs being kept in crates.
She can be a little shy on first meeting people but quickly makes friends. She hasn't any real experience of life so will only require short walks in very quiet areas to begin with so she doesn't get too over whelmed by everything.
We don't know if she is housetrained but she is clean in her kennel. We doubt that she is used to travelling but she was ok on the journey to us crated in the back of a van.

As you may have noticed this lovely girl is not, in fact, a Border Collie. She somehow made the journey over from Ireland and into our rescue before anyone asked too many questions, so now we’re simply rolling with it!
She came into our care from another rescue after being given up from her previous home, where she was reportedly a little bossy with the other dog in the house and could guard her toys. She later spent time in foster care and was said to be very good with the children there but did snap at the grandmother.
Since arriving with us, she has been a little shy meeting people but quickly warmed up to staff and happily sought affection and attention. She has also walked nicely alongside another dog and is settling into kennel life well.
She did spend one night in a home but was returned as the following morning when she was out in the garden she snapped at the female owners arm causing a tooth scrape and also tore a small hole in her top.
We think she would suit a home that can give her clear boundaries, patience, and time to settle. She’s a sweet little character with lots of potential and we’re sure there’s someone out there willing to forgive her for not being a Border Collie!

Olive is an 18 month old Border Collie Cross. She was rescued from her home after a neighbour witnessed the male owner abusing her, he is now being prosecuted. She has been in kennels since December 2025.
Understandably, Olive can get worried when first meeting new people but given time quickly makes friends. She will need an owner that understands her traumatic past and will have the patience to help her gain her confidence and offer her the love she deserves.
She does sometimes bark at other dogs but when in close contact interacts ok although doesn't really know how to behave. We are told she has lived with another dog.
She plays with toys and responds to basic commands.
Olive does struggle in a busy environment and easily gets over stimulated, in kennels she will often ragg the lead and sometimes staff members clothing but once away from the kennels quickly settles.
