Davis is a year old he has spent most of his life at a council run pound and has very little experience of life outside of this.
He hasn't been socialised and will need time and patience to adapt to living in a home and being amongst people.
Davis has never been on a lead so everyday walks is something that will need to be built upon and may take several months to achieve but if you have the time and patience to teach this young chap what life is all about please get in touch.

Chase is a 9yr old neutered collie. He came into our care as his owners felt they no longer had the time to give him.
He has lived in a rural area and would possibly benefit from the same again. He is a friendly boy but would be better suited to a quiet home without young children.
Chase is housetrained, is ok being left alone for a few hours, loves to play ball, has lived with a cats and travels well.
He prefers his own space away from other dogs so would need to be an only dog. He does sometimes lunge at traffic if being walked by a busy road

Willow and River are 7yr old neutered litter sisters. They came into our care following the death of their owner.
Due to their owners ill health they haven't been out of the home and garden for the last few years so are overweight.
They are both friendly towards people but have been used to a quiet home so may benefit from the same again. They are housetrained, crate trained, respond to basic commands, have recently been fine being left alone and travelled well on a 2hr journey to our centre. They are both unsure around other dogs and do bark, in close contact Willow is just shy but River does bare her teeth but again this is through fear

Timmy is a 4 month old collie cross. He came into our care from another rescue, his owner wasn't able to care for him.
He is a friendly little chap and should be suitable to live with children over 6yrs old. He is good around other dogs, responds to very basic commands and travels well crated in a vehicle.
The vet thinks that he may have Rickets in his front legs but feels if fed a good quality diet this will correct itself.

Curtis is a 2 yr old entire black and white Border Collie. He is larger in size than an "average" Border Collie. He came into our care from a rescue in Ireland. He was picked up from the pound so he may have been a stray.
Curtis is a confident, friendly boy. Since being in our care he has interacted well with customers and volunteers.
He can be snappy in close contact with some dogs so may not live with.
He has shown signs of fixating on shadows or items in our reception and his kennel so this behaviour may happen in home until he is settled.
He has met the centre cat and was very focused and snapped in close contact so will not live with one.
He would be better suited to a more quiet and relaxed household without young children.

Hi there! I’m Willow. I am nearly 5 yrs old I first came into care because my previous owner couldn’t give me enough time with work and a little one at home. I have had a few short stays in some other homes but they didn't work out and unfortunately when one of my owners took a bag out of my mouth that had treats in it I got frustrated and I snapped at him, but maybe a little too hard as my tooth punctured his skin.
I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give me a moment and I soon warm up. I’m housetrained, happy to be left alone and I travel well. I love playing ball and i get along with other dogs unless food is involved so i will need to live without other dogs. When I’m out walking, I can get a bit excited around traffic, but I’m learning!
I’m looking for a patient, loving home where I can feel safe and enjoy lots of fuss, fun and games.
I do chase the centre cats so will not live with.

Charles is 2yrs old he came into our care from Romania where he was rescued from a high kill shelter.
Although he has been in our care for 4 months we still haven't been able to build his confidence enough for him to allow us to touch him. He will happily approach us and take treats but is still worried by close contact.
He loves spending time outdoors and will happily approach visitors that pass by and will take food from them but again backs away from any contact.
He is wary around other dogs but has spent time with those that are calm and gentle around him.
Charles is very much a project dog so will require a special type of person who can allow him all the time he requires to gain trust in people. He would be better suited to a quiet home environment where he can have access to a secure outdoor area.
He is crate trained and if he was lucky enough to find a home he would need to travel home in a crate (provided) so he can be lifted in/out of a vehicle without getting too stressed, this would also be beneficial within the home as his safe space.

Hello, I’m Bobby! I’m a 5 year old tri coloured Border Collie. I came into care because my previous owner couldn’t give me enough time due to work. I had a 7-week stay with another family, but it didn’t quite work out as I got a bit defensive with the lady of the house when she tried to correct me but when dad was around I felt much happier around her.
I’m a friendly guy when meeting people, I am housetrained, happy to be left alone for a few hours, and I travel well. I can be a little unsure around other dogs at first and often bark but once introduced correctly I can be ok but I may not live with others. I do have a bit of a chase instinct when it comes to cats.
I’m looking for a patient and understanding family who can help me feel confident and loved.

Ernie is shy meeting strangers and does sometimes bark so will need a little space and time. He also gets worried by visitors to the home so would be better suited to a quiet environment without young children. He is shy around other dogs and does chase traffic.

This gorgeous 2-year-old black-and-white, short-coated entire Border Collie Cross She was transferred to us from a rescue in Ireland via her own home where she lived with her litter sister, we are told the owner was struggling to care for two dogs. Bibi is now ready to find her special person. Bibi originally came to us after her previous owner struggled to manage two energetic littermates, so she is now looking for a peaceful home where she can be the centre of someone's world.
Bibi is a sensitive, gentle soul who takes a little time to warm up to new surroundings. Once she feels safe and gets to know you, her true personality shines - she is incredibly affectionate, loves fuss, and will happily seek out affection and cuddles from her trusted human.
Because she is a soft girl, Bibi is looking for a tranquil, low-bustle home with a patient, loving
owner who will let her build confidence at her own pace.
She prefers gentle, low-stress environments. Big, busy adventures overwhelm her right now, so she will do best with an owner happy to take short, relaxed strolls while building up her confidence outside.

Trudy will be 5 yrs old in October. She was rescued in Romania from a kill shelter along with her pups. We are told Trudy spent 18 months in a foster home before coming to us but this was a rescue foster where the dogs just have free roam of outdoors.
Trudy then spent 9 months in a home but was returned as she snapped on two occasions and bit the female owner on the knee when another dog approached and caused an altercation with Trudy (owner put her knee between the two dogs)
Trudy is a nervous girl and requires a quite home with someone that understands her background and will give her time to adjust to new environments and experiences. She requires short walks in quiet areas to prevent her getting too over whelmed by everything which is what happened in her last home causing her to react to people and other dogs out on a walk due to fear.

Kenzie is an 8yr old neutered collie. She came into our care via another rescue after being with them for a year. She was originally rescued from a hoarding situation.
She is a friendly girl and should be suitable to live with older children. She responds to basic commands, plays with toys, travels well and is clean in kennels.
She does chase cats and can sometimes get frustrated around other dogs and on one occasion at the previous rescue when being walked by a volunteer she nipped her leg causing bruising and two shallow teeth marks. Kenzie can walk alongside some dogs without any issues and although she has lived with other dogs we feel she would be better as an only dog.

Jet is a 2 year old neutered collie. She originally came into our care via another rescue after she was found living in a horse trailer. She than spent 6mths in a home but was returned as her owners felt their home and life style wasn't right for her needs.
She is housetrained, is good when left alone for a few hours, travels very well and knows several commands. She does lunge at large vehicles when out walking but is ok with passing cars.
Having spent her early years locked away Jet missed out on being socialised and can be worried by people that suddenly reach out towards her and when she has felt threatened she has on rare occasions snapped so requires an owner that understand her fear and is willing to work with her and avoid situations that she struggles with.
She is ok around calm non reactive dogs but if dogs pester her she again can become worried and may react.
Jet requires a quiet home without young children, frequent different visitors and cats. Once she has built a bond with her owner she is very loyal and affectionate.
