Milo is a 2 year old entire collie. He came into our care as his owner had a baby..
He is a friendly boy but does get over stimulated easily so although he has lived with young children we feel he would do better in a quieter home with older children.
Milo is housetrained, crate trained, responds to basic commands, is good meeting other dogs but again can be a little over the top and is ok travelling in a vehicle.

Willow

Willow will be 4yrs old in December he originally came into our care as his owner didn't feel she had enough time to give him due to work commitments and having a young child. He then spent two weeks in another home but was returned as he snapped when a stranger reached out to stroke him (no contact was made)
Willow can be a little unsure when first meeting strangers but given a little time he soon over comes his fears.
He is housetrained, is good when left alone, travels well, loves to play ball and is good with other dogs. He does lunge at traffic when out walking

Luna is a 1 year old neutered small Black and White short coated Collie Cross. She originally came into our care from a rescue in Ireland. We are told she was in a home with her litter sister but they rehomed Luna due her having a strong herding instinct. She then spent 5 weeks in another home but was returned as she stalked/worked other dogs and sometimes nipped when in close contact.
Luna is a friendly girl but due to her herding instinct she would be more suited to a home with older children. She is housetrained, enjoys playing with toys, responds to basic commands and travels well in a car.
Her previous owner said that when out on walks she was easily worried by noise and would then want to go back home so requires an owner that is willing to social her gradually in new surroundings so as not to overwhelm her.

Rico is a 5 year old neutered Black and White short coated Border Collie Cross. He came into our care from a rescue in Ireland. He was an unwanted pet, we are told he lived with children but we don't know what ages they were. He has lived in a rural area so will need introducing to new environments gradually.
Rico is a shy boy and can get worried when meeting strangers and if approached suddenly may bark, he requires time and space as once he overcomes his fears he is an affectionate boy. We wouldn't house him to live with young children.
He loves to play with toys and enjoys running around off lead in our enclosed outdoor area. He does sometimes bark at other dogs but if introduced correctly is usually ok. He is strong on the lead and when out walking in residential areas he does lunge towards traffic.

Bowie is an 11 month old entire collie. He hasn't had the best start in life having been in 3 different rescue centres and 2 homes. His original owner handed him to rescue as she couldn't cope with a young collie.
Bowie is nervous when first meeting strangers but if given a little time and space soon overcomes his fears. He would benefit from a quieter home without young children or other dogs and someone that is willing to socialise him at his own pace.

He is very shy when first meeting strangers but is desperate to make friends and if given a little time and space does begin to gain trust in people. He has lived with children and when in his own home met children of all ages and was fine with them but we feel he may be better suited with those slightly older.
Monty is housetrained, is good when being left alone, responds to basic commands, travels well and is good with other dogs.

Hi there my name is Oscar I have been around for just over 5yrs and have already had the operation that every male would prefer not to have !!
Sadly my mum became poorly and could no longer care for me and my sister so she had to give us both up. My sister was a little bit of a bully towards me so i do now tend to bark at other dogs i see out on a walk just incase they decide to do the same.
I love meeting people and also like the little ones, my mum said they are known as children. I've not really been left alone much so i might find it a bit strange not having a human around all the time but I'm sure i could adapt over time. I am house trained but did sometimes toilet indoors on a puppy pad if I got desperate. I haven't been in a car very often but I do travel ok.
Hopefully one day I can have a home again with someone to go on adventures with.

Primrose is 5yrs old but hasn't yet been neutered. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people but does soon gain confidence. She is housetrained but her owner did also use puppy pads in the house which Primrose did sometimes toilet on. She has lived with cats and is fine meeting calm dogs but is wary around those that are boisterous. She is really used to travelling so this will need to build up over time.

Ceri is a 5yr old neutered collie. She came into our care due to a change in her owners circumstances.
She is currently a little aloof around people as she is obviously missing her owner/home. She would be better suited to a quiet home without lots of visitors or young children and someone that is willing to give her the space and time she requires to flourish again as when in the presence of her owner she was very affectionate, alert and happy.
Ceri is housetrained, is good when left alone, loves to play, responds to basic commands and travels well. She does tend to prefer her own space away from other dogs.

Pumpkin is a 5yr old tri coloured short coated collie cross she was found tethered to a fence and was never reclaimed.
She has been friendly towards all kennel staff and although a little shy being handled by the vet coped very well. She should be suitable to live with children over 8yrs old. She is clean in her kennel and has been fine travelling in a vehicle.
She does chase cats and is a little worried by other dogs so will need to be an only pet

Rusty is a 17 month old entire collie cross. He came into our care as his owner had another baby and Rusty kept barking every time the baby cried.
Although his owner said he is confident and friendly meeting people whilst with us he has been a little shy but this could be due to him being in kennels. He has lived with two young children and always been fine around them but we suggest children over 8yr old.
Rusty is housetrained, responds well to basic commands, has been fine with visitors to the home and travels ok in the car but does periodically whine.
He isn't really used to being left alone so this will need to be built up overtime. He is ok around calm dogs but does get a little worried around those that are boisterous.

Hello my name is Shep. I have been around for 6 years but sadly spent most of this time chained up outdoors, then my owner decided he didn't want me around at all so he sent me to a nearby rescue where i spent my days free of a chain and mixing with female dogs but nobody that came to visit wanted me so I'm now living in a recue that is just for collies.
Although I enjoy my time here having plenty of fuss, playing ball and going for long walks I would really like a home of my own. I did go to live with a lady for a week and whilst I was very good indoors, apart from emptying the bin she struggled to walk me as I do sometimes stalk and lunge towards other dogs and traffic and on one occasion when two dogs were peering at me over a wall I slipped my collar and jumped over to them, we did have a bit of an altercation but non of us were injured. I also spent 11 days in another home where i was very well behaved and happily met other people and even a couple of other dogs but then one morning I managed to get passed my owner and down the drive and on seeing a small dog i ran up to it and grabbed it, I didn't hurt it but obviously the owner was very shocked and upset.
