Chase is a 9yr old neutered collie. He came into our care as his owners felt they no longer had the time to give him.
He has lived in a rural area and would possibly benefit from the same again. He is a friendly boy but would be better suited to a quiet home without young children.
Chase is housetrained, is ok being left alone for a few hours, loves to play ball, has lived with a cats and travels well.
He prefers his own space away from other dogs so would need to be an only dog. He does sometimes lunge at traffic if being walked by a busy road

Buttons is a 7mth old entire collie cross. She came into our care from her own home.
She is a little nervous meeting new people but if given a little space quickly makes friends. She is housetrained, is ok being left alone for odd hours and travels well.
She hasn't been socialised around other dogs and is easily worried and will often bare her teeth so requires positive interaction with calm dogs.

Hello everyone my name is Lady I will be 13 in November. I have lived my whole life with my two siblings but because our owner sadly passed away we have now found ourselves in kennels.
I really hope that someone will find it in their heart to give an older dog like me a second chance, I'm not any trouble and would be more than happy just pottering in the garden as i didn't really get to go out for walks when i lived with my dad. I am housetrained, i am good when left alone and I travel well.
Please don't overlook me because of my age as I just want somebody to call my own again.

He is a calm gentle soul and should be fine living with older sensible children. He has lived with other dogs is housetrained and crate trained, is good being left alone, responds to basic commands and travels well

Milo is a 2yr old entire collie cross. He came into care as part of a welfare case as he spent most of the time being locked in a bedroom.
Milo is a friendly boy and has lived with children, another dog and cats. He will need introducing to new environments and experiences gradually as he hasn't really been used to going out for walks.
He does have limited hearing which has been confirmed by a vet.

Ernie is a 5yr old neutered collie cross. He came into our care from his own home due to a change in his owners circumstances.
He is housetrained, is good when left alone for a few hours, responds to basic commands and travels well.
Ernie is shy meeting strangers and does sometimes bark so will need a little space and time. He also gets worried by visitors to the home so would be better suited to a quiet environment without young children. He is shy around other dogs and does chase traffic.

Hello, I’m Bobby! I’m a 5 year old tri coloured Border Collie. I came into care because my previous owner couldn’t give me enough time due to work. I had a 7-week stay with another family, but it didn’t quite work out as I got a bit defensive with the lady of the house when she tried to correct me but when dad was around I felt much happier around her.
I’m a friendly guy when meeting people, I am housetrained, happy to be left alone for a few hours, and I travel well. I can be a little unsure around other dogs at first and often bark but once introduced correctly I can be ok but I may not live with others. I do have a bit of a chase instinct when it comes to cats.
I’m looking for a patient and understanding family who can help me feel confident and loved.

Hello, I’m Bayley!
I’m a 5 year old neutered Collie Cross, and I’ve had quite the journey. I originally came to the rescue because my humans weren't feeling well enough to look after me. I've spent a very short time in two further homes, but I got worried around new people and did growl and snap.
I can be a bit unsure when meeting strangers, so I’ll need someone patient who can let me come to them in my own time but once I'm confident you're not a threat i will be your best friend. I will do best in a calm home without lots of visitors or young children, where I can feel safe and relaxed.
The good news? I’m housetrained, I know some basic commands, I love playing with toys, I travel well, and I sleep peacefully through the night. I tend to avoid other dogs, though I might react if they react to me first, and I’m a little nervous around traffic and loud noises — so slow and steady wins the day with me!
If you’re willing to give me time, patience, and lots of gentle reassurance, I’d love to show you what a loyal and loving companion I can be. I will need you to visit me more than once so I can really get to know you before you take me home.

He is a little shy when first meeting people so would be better suited to a quieter home without young children. Whilst in our care he has been good around other dogs and may benefit from living with others to help him gain confidence.

He is a little shy when first meeting people but soon makes friends and whilst in our care has happily gone out walking with volunteers. He is good around other dogs.

Billie is 7yrs old and has been neutered. She came into our care as she snapped at the owners 3yr old child on two occasions but didn't make any contact.
She is a friendly girl but because of the above incident and the fact that she resource guards her food we wouldn't home her to live with young children. Billie is housetrained, is good when left alone, travels well and used to mix with other dogs at doggy day care but recently when being walked her owner said on seeing other dogs she would bark.

Kenzie is an 8yr old neutered collie. She came into our care via another rescue after being with them for a year. She was originally rescued from a hoarding situation.
She is a friendly girl and should be suitable to live with older children. She responds to basic commands, plays with toys, travels well and is clean in kennels.
She does chase cats and can sometimes get frustrated around other dogs and on one occasion at the previous rescue when being walked by a volunteer she nipped her leg causing bruising and two shallow teeth marks. Kenzie can walk alongside some dogs without any issues and although she has lived with other dogs we feel she would be better as an only dog.

Trudy will be 5 yrs old in October. She was rescued in Romania from a kill shelter along with her pups. We are told Trudy spent 18 months in a foster home before coming to us but this was a rescue foster where the dogs just have free roam of outdoors.
Trudy then spent 9 months in a home but was returned as she snapped on two occasions and bit the female owner on the knee when another dog approached and caused an altercation with Trudy (owner put her knee between the two dogs)
Trudy is a nervous girl and requires a quite home with someone that understands her background and will give her time to adjust to new environments and experiences. She requires short walks in quiet areas to prevent her getting too over whelmed by everything which is what happened in her last home causing her to react to people and other dogs out on a walk due to fear.

As you may have noticed this lovely girl is not, in fact, a Border Collie. She somehow made the journey over from Ireland and into our rescue before anyone asked too many questions, so now we’re simply rolling with it!
She was given up by her owner, where she was reportedly a little bossy with the other dog in the house and could guard her toys. She later spent time in foster care and was said to be very good with the children there but did snap at the grandmother.
Since arriving with us, she has been a little shy meeting people but quickly warmed up to staff and happily sought affection and attention. She has also walked nicely alongside another dog and is settling into kennel life well.
She did spend one night in a home but was returned the following morning as when she was out in the garden she snapped at the female owners arm causing a tooth scrape and also tore a small hole in her top.
Mabel would be better suited to a calm quiet home without young children, Hopefully there’s someone out there willing to forgive her for not being a Border Collie!

She is a friendly girl and should be suitable to live with children over 8yrs old Pip is housetrained and crate trained, she is ok being left alone for a few hours, she responds to basic commands, travels well and is fine around other dogs.
She does resource guard her toys and does pull on the lead.

Maisie is a 4yr old black and white short coated neutered border Collie. She was handed in from her own home due to not coping with the other dog in the home when he chased his tail. We are told otherwise they got on really well.
Maisie is a very affectionate girl and enjoys human company she is not really used to being left alone and has on rare occasions chewed items although in kennels she has been fine and hasn't shown any signs of chewing anything. She is house trained, travels well and is good with visitors to the house. She tends to choose her own canine friends so would be best as an only dog.
