Grace has just turned 12 yr old, She came into our care as her owner was suffering with Alzheimer's and was going into care.

Gracie is a calm gentle girl and was once a much loved pet. She is housetrained, is fine with visitors to the home, travels well and is good with other dogs.

She hasn't really been used to being left alone since her owner became ill a few years ago so this may need to be built up.

She is a little overweight due to not being exercised and does suffer with some arthritis which she is currently taking medication for, this may improve once she is getting regular exercise and looses a little weight.

Female 5 years

Fluffy is a 5yr old neutered collie. She came into our care as she and one of the dogs she lived with managed to get out and together caused injury to a lamb.

Fluffy has lived on a farm but was also a pet so has been in a home environment, we are told she was mostly housetrained but did sometimes have the odd accident overnight.

She is a friendly girl who enjoys human company and has been around children that visited the property.

Fluffy will need to be introduced to new environment and adventures gradually as she has no experience of the world outside of the farm.

Olive

Olive is an 18 month old Border Collie Cross. She was rescued from her home after a neighbour witnessed the male owner abusing her, he is now being prosecuted. She has been in kennels since December 2025.

Understandably, Olive can get worried when first meeting new people but given time quickly makes friends. She will need an owner that understands her traumatic past and will have the patience to help her gain her confidence and offer her the love she deserves.

She does sometimes bark at other dogs but when in close contact interacts ok although doesn't really know how to behave. We are told she has lived with another dog.

She plays with toys and responds to basic commands.

Olive does struggle in a busy environment and easily gets over stimulated, in kennels she will often ragg the lead and sometimes staff members clothing but once away from the kennels quickly settles. She will require a quiet home without young children.
