Alfie is a 4 year old entire collie cross. He originally came into our care after his owner was admitted into hospital. He then spent the last year in another home but they felt their environment was too busy for him due to having various visitors which Alfie found difficult and would often bark and lunge until he got to know them.

Alfie is a very shy boy but if given time soon warms up to people. He requires a quiet adult home and an owner that is willing to give him the space and time he requires to gain confidence. Everything needs to be done gradually with Alfie so he doesn't feel threatened or get put into situations he find difficult.

Alfie is housetrained, is good when left alone for a few hours, travels well, knows some basic commands and is ok around other dogs.

Hello, I’m Bobby! I’m a 5 year old tri coloured Border Collie. I came into care because my previous owner couldn’t give me enough time due to work. I had a 7-week stay with another family, but it didn’t quite work out as I got a bit defensive with the lady of the house when she tried to correct me but when dad was around I felt much happier around her.

I’m a friendly guy when meeting people, I am housetrained, happy to be left alone for a few hours, and I travel well. I can be a little unsure around other dogs at first and often bark but once introduced correctly I can be ok but I may not live with others. I do have a bit of a chase instinct when it comes to cats.

I’m looking for a patient and understanding family who can help me feel confident and loved.

Teddy is an 8yr old neutered collie. He originally came into our care as his owner was moving house and couldn't take Teddy with her. He was in another home for a week but was returned as he snapped at a stranger when she reached out to stroke him and also at a man that entered the garden and again reached out to touch him. Teddy was fine with people that gave him time to approach them and was very affectionate towards the man he was living with.

Teddy would be better suited to a quiet home in a more rural location as this is what he has been used to and a home without young children or lots of visitors.

He is housetrained, is good when left alone, travels well, responds to basic commands and is ok meeting other dogs out on walk.

Charlie is a 2 year old neutered Collie Cross. Before coming to us he spent his life living on a small holding in a secluded setting amongst several other dogs.

Charlie has no real life experience of the world outside of where he lived and had never been on a lead. It took us several weeks to gain his trust enabling us to then gently handle him, since then he has made good progress and now happily greets and interacts well with staff. He will happily go out for walk and spends time playing with dogs that he has built a relationship with.

He requires a quiet home environment and an owner that understands his needs and is willing to give him all the time and patience he requires.

Hi there! I’m Willow. I was 4 on Christmas Eve. I first came into care because my previous owner couldn’t give me enough time with work and a little one at home. I have had a few short stays in a couple of other homes but they didn't work out and unfortunately in the last one the man took a bag out of my mouth that had treats in it and because I got frustrated I snapped at him, but maybe a little too hard as my tooth punctured his skin.

I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give me a moment and I soon warm up. I’m housetrained, happy to be left alone, and I travel well. I love playing ball and get along with other dogs. When I’m out walking, I can get a bit excited around traffic, but I’m learning!

I’m looking for a patient, loving home where I can feel safe and enjoy lots of fuss, fun and games.

I do chase the centre cats so may not live with.

Ernie is a 5yr old neutered collie cross. He came into our care from his own home due to a change in his owners circumstances.

He is housetrained, is good when left alone for a few hours, responds to basic commands and travels well.

Ernie is shy meeting strangers and does sometimes bark so will need a little space and time. He also gets worried by visitors to the home so would be better suited to a quiet environment without young children.

He is shy around other dogs and does chase traffic.

Mocca is 7 months old and came into our care from another rescue. He has spent some time in a home alongside another dog but his owner felt she wasn't able to give him the life he deserved due to work commitments. Unfortunately we don't have any information on how he was in the home.

He is a little shy meeting new people so would be better suited to older children. He is good meeting other dogs but can sometimes be a little over excited so may be too much for some.

Murphy recently arrived with us and is now searching for the loving home he truly deserves. Sadly, Murphy's past has not always been kind. We are told that he spent a period of time confined to a shed before concerned individuals stepped in to ensure he was brought to safety. Despite this difficult experience, Murphy has remained a friendly and affectionate dog with plenty of love still to give. Murphy is 4yrs old and has been neutered.

We are told that Murphy is good with both people and other dogs, and that he travels well. Since arriving with us, he has shown himself to be a confident character who enjoys exploring his surroundings and spending time with people. He particularly enjoys a fuss and is happy to seek out attention from those around him.

Murphy walks well overall, although he can be a little strong on the lead at times. He is an intelligent boy who listens well and is keen to engage with his handler. While he currently doesn't show much interest in toys or treats and doesn't appear to know any formal commands, he has plenty of potential and will benefit from continued guidance and training in his new home.

Murphy has settled well into kennel life, keeping his kennel clean and adapting quickly to his new routine. When out and about, he can be vocal towards other dogs, so any introductions should be managed appropriately while we continue to learn more about him.

Murphy is a bright, confident dog who has overcome a challenging start and is now ready to enjoy the security, comfort, and companionship of a home. With patience, kindness, and a family willing to invest in him, Murphy has all the makings of a wonderful companion.

Rover is 4yrs old and has been neutered. He recently arrived with us from Ireland after being rescued from a welfare situation. While we don't know much about his past, we do know that he has spent time in a foster home where he proved himself to be a lovely companion. We are told that he was comfortable being left alone for short periods and was good with people, children, and other dogs. Rover has been neutered.

Since arriving, Rover has shown himself to be a friendly and affectionate boy who enjoys meeting new people. He is happy being handled and has greeted everyone he has met with enthusiasm, including prospective adopters. Rover already knows the "sit" command and is eager to interact with those around him.

Rover is a very excitable dog who approaches life with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. He enjoys socialising and has walked happily alongside other dogs, although his excitement can sometimes make him a little over the top in his greetings. With continued guidance and training, he is likely to learn how to channel his enthusiasm more appropriately.

At the moment, Rover isn't particularly interested in toys, preferring people and social interaction instead. He is currently settling into kennel life and showing us more of his personality each day.

Rover is looking for an active home that can continue his training, provide plenty of companionship, and help him make the most of his bright and friendly nature. In return, he promises to bring lots of fun, affection, and enthusiasm to his new family.

Prince is a black and white neutered Collie who recently arrived with us from Ireland after spending his life as a farm dog. Sadly, his owner suffered a stroke and was no longer able to care for him, so Prince is now looking for a loving new home where he can start his next chapter.

Since arriving, Prince has shown himself to be a gentle, friendly boy who enjoys meeting new people. He is happy being handled and takes treats very politely, making him a pleasure to spend time with. He loves his food and will happily remind you not to leave any snacks unattended, as he has been known to investigate kitchen worktops for tasty opportunities!

Prince walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys exploring his surroundings. He appears to be a confident dog who settles quickly into new situations and has happily gone for walks with people he has only just met. While he has shown a little interest in playing with a ball, his favourite things currently seem to be good food, gentle company, and getting out for a stroll.

Staff describe Prince as a sweet-natured, easy-going dog who is settling well into kennel life. He is now looking for a home that can offer him plenty of companionship, regular exercise, and all the love he deserves.

Jay is a handsome black and white neutered Border Collie who recently arrived with us from Ireland. He previously worked as a farm dog and, following the sad loss of his owner, was cared for by a neighbour for nine months before coming into rescue. Jay has spent most of his life living outdoors and is now looking for a loving home where he can enjoy all the comforts of family life.

We are told that Jay has always been good with both people and other dogs, and since arriving he has shown himself to be a very gentle and friendly boy. Although he was a little unsure about being handled at first, he quickly revealed his affectionate side and enjoys plenty of fuss and attention.

Jay walks beautifully on the lead and is a lovely companion to take out and about. He often looks to his handler for reassurance and enjoys being close to people, making him a sweet and sensitive dog who forms strong bonds with those around him.

At the moment, Jay is not particularly interested in toys or treats, preferring gentle companionship and affection instead. He is settling well into kennel life and continues to grow in confidence each day.

Jay is looking for a patient and understanding home that will help him adjust to life as a much-loved family pet. With his kind nature and loyal personality, he is sure to make a wonderful companion for the right home.

Hello, I’m Bayley!

I’m a 5 year old neutered Collie Cross, and I’ve had quite the journey. I originally came to the rescue because my humans weren't feeling well enough to look after me. I've spent a very short time in two further homes, but I got worried around new people and did growl and snap.

I can be a bit unsure when meeting strangers, so I’ll need someone patient who can let me come to them in my own time but once I'm confident you're not a threat i will be your best friend. I do best in a calm home without lots of visitors or young children, where I can feel safe and relaxed.

The good news? I’m housetrained, I know some basic commands, I love playing with toys, I travel well, and I sleep peacefully through the night. I tend to avoid other dogs, though I might react if they react to me first, and I’m a little nervous around traffic and loud noises — so slow and steady wins the day with me!

If you’re willing to give me time, patience, and lots of gentle reassurance, I’d love to show you what a loyal and loving companion I can be. I might need you to visit me more than once so I can really get to know you before you take me home.
