Listen up, chaps and chapesses! We’ve got a tale to tell about a chap called Billy—a fine lad who’s had a tough go of it. Billy’s 8 years old, neutered, and once lived the quiet life for six whole years. But life threw him a curveball when his dad fell ill with Dementia. The poor bloke started shouting and scaring Billy, who didn’t understand what was happening. Things came to a head one day when Billy, frightened out of his wits, nipped someone’s leg. Chaos ensued, as you can imagine.

His mum, bless her, had to make the hardest decision. With his dad unable to care for him and a neighbour involving the police, she brought Billy to Border Collie Trust, hoping he’d find a second chance. But nearly 2 years has passed now, and no one’s stepped forward. Dreadful shame, that.

Here’s the thing, though—Billy’s a good boy. He just needs time. He’s nervous around men (who can blame him?), but with patience and understanding, he’ll warm up. No sudden moves, mind! But once he trusts you, you’ll see he’s loyal to the core.

Billy’s dream home is calm and child-free, without cats or other dogs. He’s well-behaved indoors, loves car rides, and gets on famously with the staff here. But he needs someone who’ll visit him a few times, let him come round at his own pace, and give him the love he so deserves.

So, here’s the mission, folks: If you’ve got a kind heart, patience to spare, and room in your life for a nervous but loving chap, Billy’s waiting. Don’t let him be the one left behind.

My name is Tiko, and I’m a 3-year-old tri-colored medium-coated Collie. I was found as a stray and then spent a couple of months in a home before coming into care. I’m house-trained and crate-trained, and I know my basic commands. I love playing with toys and traveling—I’m great in the car!

While I get along with other dogs here, I have a few quirks. I can get protective over my food and once snapped when someone grabbed my collar to move me. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone, but it’s something to be aware of.

I find walks a bit overwhelming—traffic really stresses me out, and I might bark or lunge. If things get too intense, I can even bark at people or dogs. I dream of a quiet home without kids and peaceful rural walks where I don’t have to worry about cars or crowds. If you can give me that, I promise I’ll be your loyal companion.

Hi, I'm Bailey!

I'm a 2-year-old Tri Merle Border Collie with a lot of love to give, but I've had a tough start in life. My previous owner didn't treat me kindly, so now I'm looking for someone patient and understanding to help me feel safe again.

I can get worried if people handle me too quickly, so I need a calm home where I can take things at my own pace. I've always lived outdoors, so moving into a cozy house will be a big change for me. But don't worry—I keep my kennel clean and settled, so I'm sure I'll adjust with time and patience.

I might be a bit too enthusiastic with other dogs, so it might be best if I'm your one and only four-legged friend. And, oh, I'd love a home without kids—it’ll help me feel more relaxed.

If you can give me the love and space I need, I promise I'll be the most loyal companion you could ask for.

Storm is a 17mth old entire black and white short coated collie. He came into our care as he struggled living with six children and would spend all his time in a crate due to the owners not having enough time for him.

He is a friendly boy and has grown in confidence since being in our care. He is housetrained, responds to basic commands, is fine meeting other dogs out on a walk and is good when left alone for odd hours. He has only been in a vehicle on odd occasions.

Hi there humans! Reilly here I'm about 3 years old (or so the vet says) can't say I'm overly impressed with the vet though as on one of the visits I came out with a little bit of me missing, apparently they call it neutering, I call it removing something I was proud of.

I spent some of my younger years roaming free in the rural areas of Ireland until I was rescued and taken to kennels, I am now in search of a new home with humans I can call my own.

I'm a bit of a shy boy and do get nervous when people move quickly around me so I don't think I would like living with little people that run around and move unpredictably. I also prefer my walks in quiet areas where there isn't too much traffic and noise.

I have met several dogs here at the kennels and overall I'm ok with them but I don't think I'd like to share my home with others.

So if anyone out there has time and patience and a quiet home please come and meet as I'm sure if given a chance I can adapt to a new life and be a great companion.

Bandit is a 14 month old neutered Black and White short coated Border Collie Cross. He was transferred into our care from another rescue.

He has been in 2 homes, and in 1 of the homes lived with children aged 6 and 8. He was

generally good around them but when over excited he did occasionally nip at them so Bandit would be better suited to a home with older children.

Since being in our care he has been clean in the kennels, plays with toys and has had good recall.

Bandit is a little shy when he first meets new people so will need calm and gentle handling until he has made friends.

He has met other dogs in our care and wants to play with them.

Reggie is a 7 month old entire Tan short coated Patterdale x GSD. He came in to our care due to his owner suffering with mental health problems.

He is a confident, friendly young pup and is fine with children and other dogs. He travelled well on a 20 minute journey to us but isn't really used to being in a vehicle. When his owner went into hospital Reggie was left alone in the home for a few days before anyone was notified so had no option but to toilet indoors so may not be fully housetrained.

Noel is a 7 month old entire short coated cross breed. He came into our care from another rescue we don't know his history but we are told he has lived in a foster home along side other dogs since December.

He is a friendly boy and should be suitable to live with children.

Rob is a 3 years old entire short coated collie, he came into our care from another rescue, he was an unwanted farm dog.

Rob is worried around new people so would need a quiet home and someone that can give him the time he requires to gain confidence. He does tend to pull on the lead but again this could be because he is worried.

Brady is 2 year old entire short coated collie, he came into our care from another rescue we are told he may have been a farm dog and was in very poor condition when found.

He is a little shy and does get worried by sudden hand/arm movement so would be better suited to a calm, quiet home with children over 10 years old. Will require short walks in quieter areas to begin with so he doesn't get too overwhelmed by new experiences.

He is good with other dogs and has been fine spending short periods of time in an indoor kennel

Barney is a 5 year old neutered short coated Lab cross. He came into our care from another rescue after his owner was taken into a care home.

He can be a little shy when first meeting new people but soon gains confidence. We are told he is housetrained and crate trained. He responds to basic commands and whilst in our care has been fine meeting calm dogs.

Barney has come from a rural location so isn't used to being walked in built up area so this will need to be built up gradually so he doesn't get too over whelmed by everything. He does lunge at passing vehicles.

Belle is a 2 year old black and white short coated collie. She was relinquished to another rescue as her owner had too many dogs to care for.

She is a very shy girl and had never been on a lead until coming into rescue. She will require a patient owner who is willing to give her the time she needs to gain confidence and who can expose her to new experiences and environments gradually as everything in the outside world is new to her.

Prince is 6 years old Neutered medium coated collie, he came into our care from another rescue. His original owner died so a neighbour took him in but kept him tied up outside.

Prince is a calm friendly boy and he has been fine with all staff members handling him. We are told he is housetrained and he has been clean in the kennels. His behaviour around other dogs is variable so he would need to be an only dog.
