#3456/SHELBE - SPONSOR ME

I originally presented with urinary incontinence which needed surgery on my displaced ureters. I also had three lumps of matter removed from my stomach that I couldn't pass naturally - they turned out to be pieces of a rubber puppy toy!

Faith has been in our care since she was 8 weeks old, she is now almost 5 and with that in mind we have decided that Faith can stay with us now for the rest of her life. Having spent all her life in kennels with a set routine we feel she may no longer cope with a move to a home.

#4537/ELSIE - RESERVED PENDING HC
Female 10 years
DOGS: NO
CATS: NO
CHILDREN: 8+
Lovely Elsie is a beautiful, lazy girl with a big character. Her family have split recently and this has meant that she and her furry family members are being left for far too long. She is living in a multi-dog household currently but does need to be rehomed with Violet her daughter but with no other resident dogs present. She likes a short walk on the lead a couple of times a week if she fancies it (but prefers pottering in the garden) and will tell you if she doesn't want to go out. While Violet needs an active family, mum Elsie is older, more chilled and relaxed so would be happy to do her own thing indoors loving nothing more than to cuddle up next to you on the sofa. She needs an otherwise dog and cat free home, with children living or visiting over the age of 8. She is mostly housetrained, known to have the odd accident overnight (uses a puppy pad). She loves all people, is great in the car and can be left for 4 hours or so home alone. Elsie suffers from reflux and is on medication for this, which BDR will cover for life. She has a very extensive vet history all of which will be covered by us should it reoccur, she does have occasional staring / vacant episodes. Her owner assures us that she is fit and well to be rehomed and has been seen very recently by a vet for an unrelated issue. A really gorgeous, super typical oldie Bulldog who isn't phased by much at all, with lots of cuddles to give (and receive!) Breed experience is preferred please (and required for Violet). Are you her super lucky, forever family with space on your sofa to share? x

Female 7 years
SOUTH WEST AREA
DOGS: NO
CATS: NO
CHILDREN: 8+
Beautiful, playful, full of beans, loving Violet is looking for a new home as her family's circumstances have changed following a relationship breakdown. Sadly her and her other furry friends are being left far too long during the day now which they are neither used to nor happy with. Her mum Elsie will be rehomed with her but requirements are different energy wise. They do walk together well but Elsie does prefer the chilled, relaxed life indoors while daughter Violet needs someone active within the family who have time to play with her. Violet is energetic, loves toys and relishes throwing games where she can bring them back to you. She needs an otherwise dog and cat free home, with children 8+ Violet loves all people and is a very friendly girl who is super clean in the house. She loves a walk and would be best placed where her family could take her to a low dog heavy area. She pulls towards other dogs and so a physically capable owner is required. Violet dislikes the car so a vet and park nearby (ish) would be required. Violet has Addison's disease which is well controlled by medication. She can have Addisonian crises' around twice a year, which is managed medically. BDR will cover costs arising. Violet has a tight tail pocket which needs daily cleaning, she will allow you to do this. She is currently fed 4 x a day and takes anti-reflux medication after one bout of reflux and other members of her family suffer with it, the feeding schedule could potentially be reduced and she could be trialled without (reflux) medication. A really gorgeous, active and fun loving girl with lots of cuddles to give. Are you her forever family? x

#4859/FLEUR - AVAILABLE IN THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND
Female 9 years
DOGS: NO
CATS: NO
CHILDREN: 10+
Placid, stubborn, loving, major cuddle monster Fleur is a lovely example of our beloved breed. She is looking for a new home after a change in family circumstances. She is currently kenneled as she cannot stay at home any longer through no fault of her own. Fleur is gorgeous and loveable and definitely prefers humans to other animals. She used to live with other dogs and had the occasional spat over toys and can get jealous so no dogs please although she is easily handled on walk if she comes across other dogs. She is very good around children and has been around very young children but isn't alwyas aware of her size so we would like her placed with children 10+ Fleur loves all people and can be left home alone for up to 5 hours. Fleur is not a fan of cats and will chase the given half the chance. She can be reluctant to get in the car and the previous owner reported that she needs lifting in, no aggression she just "puts the breaks on" Fleur is currently in our kennels and was previously kennelled for some time when with her previous owner so may need patient re-housetraining, however she only has miminal accidents and is generally kennel clean. Fleur could benefit from a lamb or fish based grain free diet in her new home to help with redness under her nose rope which needs daily cleaning. A very happy standard Bulldog with a wonderful personality and all the typical traits and characteristics of the breed, who simply adores attention. Loves to wag her tail and her bottom and has earnt the nickname Tina Turner in foster care for that very reason! Are you her very lucky forever family? No breed experience necessary in fact she would be a perfect girl for first time Bulldoggers xx

#4758/BELINDA - AVAILABLE IN THE NORTH WEST
Female 5 years
DOGS: NO
CATS: NO
CHILDREN: 15+
Beautiful and super fussy, loving Belinda came into rescue via the dog warden and council pound in Carlisle after being spotted as a stray for at least 7 days. She arrived with no name and 13kilos in weight after a week of feeding up in the pound! She had a c-section scar and stitches still present (later removed and found to be not done by a vet due to the type of suture material used). She has come on leaps and bounds after expert care in her foster home and is thoroughly unrecognisable now! She has had mammary tumours removed since being in care and has experienced some anxiety issues which can be controlled with Reconcile as and when needed. Despite the appalling treatment by previous "owners", she is the most loving and friendly girl to people. Belinda needs to be the only dog and can be very reactive to them inside and outside of the home. She needs a cat free home too and can live with older teens 15+ and to be rehomed in a similar place to where she is that is quiet, possibly semi rural and not in a dog heavy area. She is mostly house-trained with occasional accidents (again this has been patiently worked on in foster care and she may revert temporarily to her old ways, when she moves). Belinda can be left for up to 5 hours but prefers to be loose in the home and needs a breed experienced home. A super girl with just the worst start in life imaginable - please do not overlook this beautiful soul xx

KIDS: 5+
Gorgeous, playful, friendly, typically stubborn Betsy is looking for a forever home after the sad passing of one of her owners. She is now in foster care and is absolutely wonderful. She is great with all people, loves kids and can be placed with dog savvy children over 5. She lived with an 11 yr old girl with special needs who Betsy completely adored. Betsy can be left for up to 4 hours, loves the car and loves short walks. Betsy can be reactive towards dogs and cats so needs a pet free home.
She is mostly housetrained/ clean during the day but uses puppy pads overnight. Betsy is reportedly fit and well and was described by our orginal visiting volunteer as a "confident, easy to handle, happy and beautifully trained girl who loves her own space". A super girl who has loads of love to give. Are you her forever family? No breed exp necessary provided daily care is maintained x

#5001/ROXY - AVAILABLE IN THE NORTH WEST
Female 6 years
DOGS: NO
CATS: NO
CHILDREN: 13+
Roxy has sadly been returned to us after 3.5 years by her owner due to this lady living alone and suddenly becoming very ill. Roxy is now in foster care in Cumbria and thriving there, she has lost a bit of weight and is agile, healthy and active. Roxy needs a dog free home as she can be very reactive both on the lead and in the home. She is untested with cats in the home too so no cats please. She loves older children so 13+ would be ideal for her. Roxy is very friendly, gentle and calm around all people. She loves the car and has done long journeys both with her previous owner and in foster care. Roxy is mostly housetrained and can have accidents if left too long, however, she is fine to be left for up to 4 hours. Roxy was on loxicom 'as and when' for arthritis in her previous home. She is doing well in foster care with short walks and doesn't appear to need it as she is not limping. She may need to go back on this in the future. It would be probably best for her new home to not have lots of steps in and out of the home. Roxy has a tight tail that needs regular care to keep it clean. We would like her to be rehomed to a Bulldog experienced or just a dog experienced family due to her reactivity towards other dogs. Roxy can be wary of loud noises like garage doors opening etc. She is incredibly friendly, has absolutely buckets of love to give and really loves a cuddle! Are you her very lucky forever family? x

#5025/LADY GRUFFALO AVAILABLE IN WEST SUSSEX
Female 7 years
DOGS: NOT OK
CATS: NOT OK
KIDS: 4+
Gorgeous Lady Gruffalo (aptly named because of her teeth!) is ready to meet her forever family. Lady G is a real fusspot who loves toys and can be playful but is generally a very chilled and friendly sugar plum. She came into foster care after her owner became homeless. She had been with his family for a few years after being rescued from a breeder/ hoarder. She has shown dog aggression whilst in foster care and has shown us confidently that she would definitely prefer to live alone! She is also best rehomed without cats as the kennel cat will testify! She is great with people, children over 4 and can be left home alone for 2-3 hours. Lady G can have the odd accident overnight and will need retraining after her kennel stay. She loves the car and has done long journeys with us, both to and from foster care and to vet appointments and surgeries much farther afield. Lady G has had two operations with us, one was a much needed dental and abscess removal and the other was BOAS (to help with her breathing) She has a small trachea so care in the warmer months will be required and weight gain needs to be avoided in order to help with emerging arthritis. A really gorgeous old lady who has stolen all of our hearts and who seeks the comfort and stability of a loving home. She was one of our Christmas sleepover babies and boy does this girl love a cuddle! Are you her super lucky forever family? She absolutely must be able to share your sofa (deal breaker!) and breed experience is preferred but not essential.

#5053/GRINGO - RESERVED/PENDING APPROVAL
Male 4 years
DOGS: NO
CATS: NO
CHILDREN: 10+
Gorgeous Gringo arrived in his current home in July and it soon became apparent he has allergy related skin issues. His young family are struggling to provide for his vet bills. He walks well and loves other dogs but can often be a bit too much for them, so we would like to see him placed with no other dogs off at least to start with. He is untested with cats aswell so no cats please. Gringo is fine with the young children (1/3) in the home but can knock into them so we'd like to see him rehomed to a family with children over 10. He is great in the car and owner says he likes a walk but he can be slow and need encouragment. He is super clean in the home. The family have recently moved house and after this move he began to bark when left (this is for school runs of no more than 30 mins currently) so a new family would need to have someone home all day and commit to patiently retraining. Due to his allergies he would need a home with no carpet downstairs and care would need to be taken to avoid environmental triggers in the home. Gringo's allergies are currently being controlled with steroids at his owner's request but he will likely need to go on to apoquel or cytopoint injections long term. BDR will cover costs arising for the first 6 months and then enter into a shared care arrangement thereafter, providing the medication for him via online pharmacies. He is beginning an insect based diet trial and we hope this will help with his allergies. He is an absolutely super boy, playful and can hump but is very friendly to all people. Are you his forever family? No breed experience necessary x

#4987/BORIS - RESERVED DUE TO MOVE 12/3/26
Male 5 years
DOGS: YES
CATS: NO
CHILDREN: 11+
Gorgeous, cuddly, inquistive, smart, foodie Boris is looking for a new home after a change in family circumstances left his busy single parent Dad realising he needs more than he could give. Boris is now in foster care where he is described as "a sweet boy and getting more calmer and relaxed in his new environment everyday". Boris lives with another dog and is fine with him so can be placed with dogs of similar age and energy levels. He has previously lived with a cat but chases them on the street in foster care (and squirrels etc) on lead walks so needs a cat free home. He currently lives with children aged 11 and up so can be placed with 11+ Boris is fine to be left for many hours home alone but much prefers it when someone is home. He gets initially excited when he sees you first thing, when he gets ready for walks and at mealtimes. Boris responds to the energy in the room and mirrors his foster family's excitement or calmness equally. He can pull on the lead and continued retraining is advised, however, he learns quickly and is smart for a Bulldog. He is very food driven which is great for training. He loves being groomed and touched and adores cuddles.
Boris is super clean house-training wise and loves walks and car rides. He is great with people but can get a little excited to begin with but soon calms down. He does not bark when left alone. He may need BOAS surgery in the future which BDR will cover at any time through one of our vet practices. A thoroughly lovely boy who enjoys lots of cuddles, are you his forever family? Breed experience and confident handler preferred xx

#5062/RUBY - RESERVED/WAITING TO MOVE
Female 2 years
DOGS: NO
CATS: NO
CHILDREN: 12+
Beautiful Ruby has come to her current owner accidentally and has now started fighting with her fur sister, quickly showing she needs to have a family all of her own. Ruby needs a dog, cat and general animal free home (chases squirrels) She is full of beans, loves a walk and would thrive in an active family home. She is lovely with all people, and loves kids 12+. She is wary of the car but we would expect this to improve with further training when she is living alone, dog wise. She can be left alone for 2-3 hours but would prefer someone home as much as possible as this is what she is used to. Ruby can have accidents overnight but uses puppy pads. If her owner sleeps downstairs with her she doesn't do so this looks like a behavioural issue. We would expect this to improve with routine in a new home but may be ongoing. She is still very young and ongoing training is recommended generally. With reportedly no known health concerns, she is a clever and beautiful little girl who deserves the world. Are you her lucky forever family ? breed experience preferred xx

#5150/GINGER - AVAILABLE IN HAMPSHIRE
Female 7 years
DOGS: OK
CATS: NOT OK
KIDS: 10+
Beautiful, playful, loving, gentle and friendly Ginger is looking for her forever family. Her owner's health has deteriorated to the point where he feels he sadly can no longer give her what she needs. Ginger likes a cuddle but also enjoys her own space. She would really suit an older couple or a calm and quiet home with older children (visiting or resident) aged 10+ She has been around other dogs in the home and is fine meeting them on the lead. She far prefers the company of people over dogs, especially if there's something in it for her (ie a treat!) She is not currently being left but can tolerate 2 hours a day home alone and would just sleep if left with a chew or a toy. She can be ball obsessed which we have checked out on the home visit, our volunteers saw no issue at all around guarding. She is mostly housetrained but will likely need retraining as she currently has 24/7 access to the garden. She will need to settle slowly into a routine in a new home where access is not permanently available. Medically she has reportedly no known issues but she does require daily care on her ears and tail pocket, as many Bulldogs do. Her ears can become more of an issue for her in the summer. Ginger is fine in the car and could do long journeys having travelled abroad to Europe with her family a couple of years ago. No breed experience necessary for this thoroughly gorgeous girl who never barks and is described by her owner as "compliant and good as gold". Are you her exceptionally lucky forever family ?

#5163/BETTY - AVAILABLE IN THE SUFFOLK AREA
Female 2 years
DOGS: NOT OK
CATS: RATHER NOT
KIDS 10+
Friendly, excitable, submissive, big softy Betty is looking for a new home as she is now becoming aggressive towards the other dog in the home which is proving difficult to manage. She has been with her current owner for around 9 months during which time she has come on leaps and bounds, confidence wise. She can also be reactive with other dogs outside on the lead. She is super friendly with all people but she can also become bolshy and is typically stubborn. We believe she would benefit from a confident breed experienced handler. She currently lives with an 8 year old boy who she adores, we feel 10+ dog savvy children would suit her best in a new home. She is untested with cats. Betty loves the car and is calm and relaxed on journeys. She is keen for attention and fuss all the time and loves all people. She has ongoing issues with her housetraining that are generally improving. Whilst she is ok to leave for maybe up to 4 hours occasionally, we feel being left for 1-2 hours or someone who is home for the most of the day would suit her better. She needs to continue with a good routine moving forward, but accidents at night may continue. Betty can be nervous when walking on the road near large vehicles like lorries, buses and can pull away. She also pulls towards other dogs so again ongoing training and living in a quieter area would be benefical to help her to continue to improve. Described by her owner as: lovable, playful, silly, cuddly and a little bit anxious. Are you this beautiful girl's forever family? Breed experience required.

#5146/WILLOW - AVAILABLE IN WALES
Female 6 years
DOGS: NOT OK
CATS: RATHER NOT
KIDS: 6+
Beautiful, stubborn, funny Willow is looking for her forever home after falling out spectacularly with the other resident dog. She requires a dog free home and may also be reactive outside (owner keeps her away from other dogs on walks). She is untested with cats so no cats please. She is brilliant with kids and would suit dog savvy children over 6+ She gets excitable in the car and is only used to short journeys, she would be able to go on a longer journey for rehoming purposes and this could be worked on to improve her tolerance in a new home. Willow loves people and whilst she behaves equally well with both sexes, she listens more to men. Willow dislikes having her nails clipped, being groomed and having her daily care routine. She is not currently being left very long home alone but would be ok for 1-2 hours. She will have accidents if left but there is no other adverse behavior seen when left. She is mostly housetrained and uses puppy pads at night and when she is left during the day which is not often. Continued training once settled into a new routine will be recommended, but may not resolve this. She can be anxious and may need BOAS surgery in the future. She reportedly has no other health issues. Breed experience preferred but not essential for this really gorgeous girl who just adores cuddles, are you her forever family? xx
